Moreover, public transport tickets are included for our guests.

Technorama

Technorama allows hands-on experiences of hundreds of natural and technical phenomena. At countless experiment stations, visitors can discover natural phenomena first-hand and with all the senses. “Come to grips” – in both senses of the word – with the world.

Unlike other museums, everything in Technorama can be touched and experimented with: hands on!

Fotomuseum Winterthur

The Fotomuseum Winterthur is a leader in the exhibition and discussion of photography and visual culture. The institution shows works by both up-and-coming and established photographers as part of regularly changing individual and thematic group exhibitions. Together with the Fotostiftung Schweiz foundation, the Fotomuseum Winterthur has operated a centre for photography since 2003, along with a bistro, a library, seminar rooms, a lounge and a shop.

The museum can be reached by foot from the hotel in about 20 minutes.

Kyburg Castle

Kyburg Castle, with its historical gardens, is the best-preserved castle in Northeast Switzerland as well as Switzerland’s oldest castle museum. The exhibition, which opened in 2019, shows the nearly 1,000-year history of the Kyburg rulers, making it possible re-experience the multifaceted architecture of the landmark. Kyburg is situated at an elevated location in a beautiful landscape with numerous hiking trails.

You can reach Kyburg Castle with public transport or by car. There are also a variety of hiking trails that lead to the castle (e.g. from Winterthur over the Eschenberg hill in about two hours).
